TRICARE® Autism Care Demonstration – Q & A

Earlier this month our OneOp Military Caregiving concentration team hosted speakers from the Defense Health Agency (DHA) who provided an overview of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), in addition to advice for service providers and military families on how best to assist beneficiaries under the Autism Care Demonstration (ACD).

Throughout the interactive webinar, presenters answered many questions from our participants concerning TRICARE® Autism Care Demonstration and ABA. These questions, and the responses to them, can be found in our printable Question and Response sheet on the event page.

Below are a few of the questions from the TRICARE® Autism Care Demonstration webinar:
  • How would an ECHO Case Manager assist families regarding the 28-day access standard when clients are unable to meet until after-school hours?
  • What training are you requiring pediatricians providing services at military medical facilities to have in terms of understanding ABA and the challenges of the referral system?
  • What happens when children who are no longer eligible for EFMP due to divorce/custody change, but they are still enrolled in ECHO?

We would like to wish you a Happy New Year! We hope that 2017 is filled with the promises of a brighter tomorrow.
