The New York State 4-H Military Partnership is inviting all county 4-H programs to host a “Purple Up” day for military youth in their counties during the month of April.

Purple is the color of military children. It is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, as it is a combination of Army green, Marine Red, and Coast Guard, Air Force, and Navy blue. The goal of “Purple Up!” is for military youth to actually SEE the support in their school, youth groups, and the community!

This is a great way to introduce military youth around the state to 4-H and bring awareness to all our wonderful 4-H programs and camps! Please contact us if you have some ideas how we could celebrate.
