National Military Spouse Appreciation Day has been celebrated on the Friday before Mother’s Day since 1984 when President Ronald Reagan proclaimed the date in recognition of the profound importance of America’s military spouses. Military spouses are essential to the readiness and well-being of our military members and their families.
