Annie W. Lin, PhD, RD
BIOGRAPHIES:
Drs. Brittany Y. Jarrett and Annie W. Lin are registered dietitians with expertise in the role of nutrition in the pathophysiology and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Both completed their doctoral training with Dr. Marla E. Lujan in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University and continue to collaborate on various projects.
Brittany Y. Jarrett, PhD, RD is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY). She is passionate about nutrition and women’s health and has spent the last nine years studying their link in the context of PCOS. Her research involves the use of high-resolution ovarian ultrasonography to (1) characterize ovarian follicle development in PCOS and (2) clarify the effectiveness of weight loss to restore ovulatory function in patients with obesity. Brittany hopes that her group’s efforts will inform novel lifestyle-related therapies for reproductive function and ultimately promote the well-being of women across the lifespan. Brittany received her BS and PhD in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University. During her PhD Program, she simultaneously completed Cornell’s Dietetic Internship through Cornell Cooperative Extension and University of Rochester Medical Center. She now lives in Chicago, IL.
Annie W. Lin, PhD, RD is a National Cancer Institute Postdoctoral Fellow in the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. For the past six years, Annie has been investigating the associations between PCOS with diet, physical activity, and health-related beliefs . Annie completed the combined MS and Dietetic Internship program at Rush University Medical Center and her PhD in Human Nutrition at Cornell University. During her enrollment at Cornell, Annie participated as a Nutrition Evidence Library abstractor for the 2015 US Dietary Guidelines.
