This week’s blog post is to inform military service providers of a free webinar that Community Capacity Building (CCB) will be hosting on October 24 from 11 am to 12 pm, EDT.
Building a Battle Plan for Military and Veteran Families will be presented by Barbara Thompson, the Department of Defense’s former military family readiness policy director, and Keisha Bailey, a doctoral student at Purdue University. Both presenters have professional as well as personal experiences with military families. The webinar will focus on how organizations and communities can work together to support military families through transitions, such as deployments by creating a battle plan to increase their level of preparedness for such events. Attendees can expect a deeper understanding of who military families are and the unique needs that each one may have, as well as why families and communities must be ready for possible challenges.
This upcoming webinar is a great way for military service providers to engage in professional development that takes a holistic approach like that of Total Force Fitness to address domains such as psychological and social fitness.
Make sure to join us in our webinar platform for live interaction with the presenters as well as participation with other attendees by RSVP’ing on the event page! We hope to see you there on October 24th!
