About This Event

This archived webinar no longer qualifies for CEU credits.

The 90 minute webinar will cover the Military Lending Act (MLA), which was enacted in 2006 and implemented by the Department of Defense (DoD), and protects active duty members of the military, their spouses, and their dependents from certain lending practices. These practices could pose risks for service members and their families, and could pose a threat to military readiness and affect service member retention.  A general overview of the Servicemember Civil Relief Act will also be provided, focusing on consumer protections, including the ability to: get reduced interest rates on certain loans; to postpone foreclosure, eviction and repossession; and to terminate a phone contract or auto/residential lease.
