Dr. Barbara O’Neill will present options for paying for college on behalf of OneOp. This presentation is part 1 in a 2 part series. This webinar will help viewers increase their knowledge about the costs and benefits of post-secondary education and how to pay for it. Specific topics that will be covered include: the benefits of post-secondary education, the increasing cost of college, college planning worksheets and online calculators, student loans and loan payoff options, available college savings plans, tax laws relating to college saving and expenses, sources of funding for post-secondary education, and eXtension FAQs relating to educational benefits for service members and their families. A primary focus of this webinar will be online resources that financial education professionals can share with their clients and students. The specifics of military educational benefit plans will be discussed in Part 2 of this webinar series.
