On behalf of OneOp, Dr. Barbara O’Neill will present standards and practices for meeting retirement adequacy.
This web conference will provide an overview of the retirement planning process and key messages for military financial counselors to impart to service members of varying ages and years of service. It is part one of a two-part retirement planning webinar series that will conclude with a second webinar on July 25 that focuses on the thrift savings plan (TSP). Both webinars will be archived for those who cannot attend one or both live sessions. A key underlying theme is that service members need to take charge of their financial future by maximizing available savings opportunities and the awesome power of compound interest. Specific topics to be covered include current U.S. retirement trends, retirement planning tools, ten timeless retirement planning tips, sources of retirement income, and military retirement benefits.
