About This Webinar:
A child’s Social Security number can be used by identity thieves to apply for government benefits, open bank and credit card accounts, apply for a loan or utility service, or rent a place to live.
Presenter Axton Betz-Hamilton speaks from her professional experience as a child identity theft researcher and from her personal experience as a victim. The webinar focus is on repairing the damage of child identity theft.
Presenter
Dr. Axton Betz-Hamilton is an Assistant Professor at South Dakota State University. Dr. Betz-Hamilton’s previous work experience includes faculty appointments at Eastern Illinois University, University of Wyoming, and Iowa Central Community College. She has experience as a financial counselor, serving military members and their families. She is the author of “The Less People Know About Us,” a memoir based on her personal experience as a victim of child identity theft.
