About this Webinar

Resilience and recovery for military families depend on the social connection and level of collaboration that exists within the communities they are a part of. Service providers and Extension educators can be critical actors in making connections and forging collaborations to address family and community needs.

In a series of workshops leading up to this event, service providers and Extension educators used an asset-based recovery approach to reveal their practices and the different ways in which they connected with communities to serve military families in the COVID-19 pandemic response.

Learning Objectives

In this webinar, you will learn to:

  • Recognize the interdependencies and assets that can contribute to Asset-based Community Recovery.
  • Determine which elements of Asset-based Community Recovery could be applied in your work and/or community.
  • Plan the next steps you can take to forge connections and collaborations that build your community’s capacity to meet the needs of military families when faced with a disaster.
