Research suggests that resilient people are characterized by the co-occurrence of positive and negative emotions in stressful situations. What’s the role of flexibility in this? Dr. Christian Waugh will speak to how adapting emotional responses to match the demands of the situation can assist in grappling with personal and work stress.

About the Speaker

Dr. Christian Waugh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Wake Forest University. His research and publications focus on resilience and the temporal dynamics of emotion and resilience and positive emotions in times of stress.
