We all have the capacity to become stronger and more flexible in the midst and aftermath of difficulty. But, avoiding compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, and other negative effects can be quite daunting when adapting to change. Dr. Charles Figley will facilitate discussions surrounding common challenges and methods of coping at home and in the workplace to assist in growing participants knowledge, awareness, and skills. This session will conclude with a breakout chat to reflect and connect.
About the Speaker
Dr. Charles Figley is the Associate Dean for Research and Professor at the Tulane University School of Social Work and Director of the Tulane Traumatology Institute. Dr. Figley’s numerous publications and research focus primarily on traumatic stress and resiliency of individuals, families, and communities.
