About This Webinar:

In a perfect world of military and veteran family support, the Department of Defense, VA, military services, and local community agencies will work together to connect military and veteran families to the right supports, meeting their imminent needs and gaining trust for future intervention.

One way organizations and communities can do so is by creating battle plans that guide organizational responses to rapidly-changing situations, such as military deployments.

This webinar is presented by the DoD’s former family readiness policy director and a doctoral student from the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University. Drawing on a chapter they wrote for A Battle Plan for Supporting Military Families: Lessons For the Leaders of Tomorrow, the two share evidence-informed insights about how community members and organizations can prepare to support families before, during and after such events.
