
Meghan Burke, PhD
Meghan Burke, Ph.D., BCBA-D is an assistant professor of special education at the University of Illinois and creator of the Volunteer Advocacy Project (VAP) from which sections of the OneOp FDEI module, “A Field Guide to Family Advocacy,” were adapted. The VAP is an in-depth training for individuals who wish to be special education advocates. Additionally, some of the module’s content was informed by Dr. Burke’s work at the Family Resource Center on Disabilities in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Burke provided guidance on the overall content for this module.
