1 Thing for This Week

This week, we are creating our relationship list. See if you can get at least 5 and as many as 10 people added to your relationship list. We are looking for people related to the purpose(s) we identified last week. These could be people who share our purpose, but also people who could support us in pursuing it. Look for people you might be able to learn from, converse with or lean on.

Here are a few other things to consider:

  • You might start with authors, speakers, community leaders or others you admire. These people are often accessible to us through social media.
  • Play Internet detective, search for people blogging or tweeting about things related to your purpose
  • If you can’t find names, use titles or descriptors like “Someone who knows about the thing I care about” or “Someone who has done what I would like to do.” You can track down specific people later.
  • Not everyone you find will make your list, and not everyone on your list will become a part of your network, but this is the next small step in building your network for resilience.
  • Share your experience with us on social media using #wolresilience or by leaving an audio comment on our “Relationships” post on Anchor.fm
