About This Webinar
When we want to understand what children know and can do, we often turn to tests and other conventional assessment practices. However, what really allows us to get to know children is when we sit beside them and play. This webinar provides a context for seeing authentic assessment as the means by which we get to know children and foster their development and learning. Recommended practices and research on how to assess children during play are provided.

Dr. Kristie Pretti-Frontczak is a {r}evolutionary speaker, researcher, and play advocate. Kristie spent 16 years, as faculty, at Kent State University and now trains and coaches early educators worldwide.
