About This Webinar

The well-being of military children depends heavily on the quality of their relationships with their parents and siblings. This presentation will focus on evidence about the role of military service in shaping children’s family relationships, how those relationships connect to their well-being and adjustment, and how practitioners can use this evidence to support military families.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the history of military policies and their influence on the characteristics of the service force and military families.
  • Identify the demographics of children in military families.
  • Understand the challenges and resilience that children in military families demonstrate.
  • Identify how deployments shape children’s adjustment directly and indirectly through the family environment.
