This session illustrates the fundamentals of generative AI, the risks when misapplied to personal finance, and the ethical guardrails needed when guiding service members who use these tools. The presenter shares hands-on ways AI can streamline service provider workflows, making this a session about both protecting clients and workplace efficiencies.

Understand Artificial Intelligence (AI) basics.
Identify risks of Generative AI use in personal finance.
Apply safe AI usage standards while working with Service members and their Families.
Demonstrate practical uses of Generative AI to enhance workflows.

Presenter

COL Matthew C. Paul

COL Paul serves in the U.S. Army and has 17 years of experience managing Army program budgets, schedules, and performance. As acting Deputy Capability Program Executive (CPE) since January 2026, COL Paul is responsible for helping oversee CPE Enterprise Software and Service’s four O-6 program management offices that align with the Army domains in the business mission area.
