In this interview with Megan Numbers, a licensed professional counselor and play therapist, Megan will talk about her personal work with military kids and the transitions that seem to be the most challenging for them. She shares resources that she has found to be helpful in assisting military families and kids, and which are available for military family service professionals. As an author, she shares a workbook that she has written, and military kids books that are in the hopper.
Megan Numbers, MA, LPC, is a military spouse, grew up in a military family, 
and has 2 military kids of her own. She has a private practice near Fort Bragg, NC specializing in working with military children. Her passion for working with military children grew as she embarked on her dream of becoming a play therapist and being a counselor educator. Megan quickly realized that there were limited resources for military kids that both illuminated the challenges they faced and provided concrete interventions to help them through military-related struggles. She saw a need for a resource and started developing this book series that is loosely based on military kids she knows.
