Course Details

This course explores the impact of deployment and other service-related absences on family stress and well-being. By completing this course, the service provider will be better equipped to assist military families experiencing service-related absences by offering support, services, and resources.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Explain the impacts of service-related absences on military family members
  • Analyze common stressors and coping processes
  • Apply research and theoretical models to real-world situations
  • Identify protective factors that foster resilience
  • Design practical support strategies for families
  • Refine supports for military-connected communities
