About This Webinar:

This presentation reviews the influences of culture and ethnic diversity on families and youth impacted by problematic sexual behavior. Explore how a balanced response contributes to the goal of understanding and healing.

A culturally competent provider needs to learn and examine other belief systems including understanding the complexity of identities and that even in sameness there are differences. Providers recognize the importance of being life-long learners as well as being aware of what is happening. Additionally, providers should be aware of perceptions and internal experiences in the moment to place themselves within the experience of another.
