On Thursday, July 18, 2018, OneOp’s Military Caregiving, Family Transitions, and Family Development concentration areas will be hosting a webinar on Posttraumatic Growth in research and practice.

This 90-minute webinar will be presented by Dr. Richard Tedeschi, Professor of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Licensed Psychologist specializing in bereavement and trauma. During this webinar, Dr. Tedeschi will discuss the theoretical model and research basis of Posttraumatic Growth which is the process by which trauma survivors often find valuable changes in how they live life in the aftermath of trauma.

1.5 CEUs will be offered through the UT Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work for Part 1. These educational hours may be submitted by professionals to meet continuing education requirements for renewal of Social Work, Professional Counselor, and Marriage and Family Therapy licenses. Certificates of Completion will also be available.

This webinar will be followed by Part-2 on August 8, 2018 and will be a continuation of the conversation on Posttraumatic Growth through a facilitated panel discussion. Along with Dr. Richard Tedeschi, panelists will include Mr. Josh Goldberg, Executive Director of Boulder Crest Institute for Posttraumatic Growth and Dr. Karen  Krinsley with the National Center for PTSD, VA Boston Healthcare System.
