Humans are social beings, and babies are born with tendencies to bring caregivers toward them to promote survival and social connection. Caregiver-child relationships involve some of the first interpersonal experiences that create feelings of trust, safety, and self-worth in relationships.
Schools are natural places for strong collaborative partnerships. School personnel must work together to plan for a great curriculum and supportive learning environment for all students. Families and educators must work together to support each student inside and outside of the classroom. For military-connected students (MCS), collaborative relationships with schools may be a bit more complex.
