About This Webinar:
Insurance is a critical component of economic security for military families. This webinar for Personal Financial Managers and other service providers introduces important coverage and considerations for risk management, including:
- Homeowner’s Insurance
- Renter’s Insurance
- Auto Insurance
- Umbrella Policies
Military-specific case studies are used to illustrate the impact of proper (and improper) risk management in these areas. Dr. Gutter also takes time to answer questions from service providers on this important topic.
Presenter:
Dr. Michael Gutter is the Associate Dean for Extension and State Program Leader for 4-H Youth Development, Families and Communities for the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Florida. His BS is in Family Financial Management and his Ph.D. is in Family Resource Management from The Ohio State University with a specialization in Finance. Gutter’s research focuses on examining how socioeconomic status, financial education, personal psychology, and financial socialization are related to financial behaviors. His outreach focuses on improving financial behaviors by increasing knowledge, skills, and access to services.
