VLE 2: Empathy & Ethics in Personal Finance

June 6, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT

About this event

This 2-hour session is the second in a 3-day Virtual Learning Event hosted by OneOp’s Personal Finance team. Dr. Gutter begins by exploring our understanding of Ethics, especially as they apply to Financial Counseling and the Military. The discussion shifts to the role of empathy; defining and distinguishing it. Then we look at how empathy can reinforce or even conflict with ethical guidelines. Dr. Gutter incorporates examples into our discussions and utilizes the chat to share perspectives and dialogue about the issues.
