In this program, the narrator offers you an antidote to compassion fatigue and burn out which is Self-Compassion. When we extend ourselves too much to others, we can feel resentful and have an inflated sense that we are indispensable. This often leads to working even more, feeling even less satisfied and critical of ourselves and others. Although this experience is called “compassion fatigue,” it actually should be called “Attachment Fatigue.” Attached to the outcomes of our work, others getting well, being the best, success or recognition.
